Based in Stuttgart and working across Europe, my work focuses on contemporary weddings and documentary photography shaped by fashion, portraiture and editorial sensibility.
Photography has been part of my practice from the beginning. My background in photographic design, graphic design, behavioural design and more than a decade in art direction for agencies such as Panama and Jung von Matt still shapes the way I work today. It brings structure, proportion, rhythm, light and atmosphere into the frame, alongside an awareness of how people move, respond and become present within it.
A wedding is never approached as pure reportage, nor as a sequence of staged scenes. What
interests me is the space between intention and the unexpected, where images feel considered,
but still alive.
Sometimes the image is found. Sometimes it is built. Often, it is both.
My way of working moves between observation and direction. Movement, light and distance may be guided when they help the image gain momentum. The aim is never to force a result, but to create the conditions for something unscripted to appear.
The focus is presence rather than performance. Gestures, pauses, shifts in body language and the quiet tension between control and chance. Documentary in instinct, editorial in form.
2nd Shooter &
Super 8 film
Josie joins selected weddings as a second photographer and Super 8 filmmaker, adding another perspective to the story of the day.
While Nicole leads the photography, Josie moves through everything happening around it: the nervous energy before the ceremony, your friends gathering outside, a hand resting on a shoulder, movement on the dance floor and the small scenes unfolding beyond the obvious moments.
Her Super 8 films are imperfect in the best possible way — grainy, tactile and alive. Rather than documenting every part of the day, she collects fragments: movement, light, laughter and atmosphere. The result feels less like a traditional wedding video and more like a memory you found years later.
Together, we create a fuller visual narrative without turning your wedding into a production.
